Understanding Anti-Wrinkle Treatments vs. Dermal Fillers

✨ Anti-Wrinkle Treatments: Antiwrinkle treatment is great for relaxing targeted muscles that are responsible for creating/static lines, such as frown lines and crow’s feet. Effects typically last 3-6 months.

Cheek and lip enhancement 😍❤️

This stunning clients main concern was her lower face region. In particular her Nasolabial Folds (line we have from the sides of our nose to the corner of the mouth.)

After having an in depth consultation about her aesthetic goals. We decided to actually start her journey by restoring her volume loss in her lateral cheek region which will not only give her some support but it can also help soften her Nasolabial fold as well. Voila 🪄✨ can you believe that for her cheeks we only used 1 ml total😍 (0.5ml each side.) This is a clear example of how important placement of product really is! Well… let me explain 😉

1. Gonial Angle: Beautiful treatment that gives a bit of definition to the jawline without it looking too “overpowering”. A problem that can arise with jaw filler for woman is if too much product is used this can potentially give the appearance of a squared/ angular jawline which can be perceived as more masculine. The Gonial angle is the junction between the neck and the jawline, by giving the Gonial angle a bit more definition it can give the appearance of a more defined jawline.

2. Piriform Fossa: This is a key treatment area that often gets over looked. This area of treatment is great to address the bony reabsorption process by placing appropriate filler deep onto periosteum to help bring back that mid face support. This treatment can also help improve the nasolabial folds and decrease the appearance of heaviness around the nose.

3. Lips: okay, this is probably the most common area of filler 😂 Lip filler is amazing for hydration, adding volume, improving facial symmetry and it can also give a more youthful appearance. The key with lip filler is making sure that we don’t just treat the lips…. We make sure that we look at the face as a whole and treat appropriately. Remember: Your face is not a trend!

Something else for you to remember is… yes, there’s many pros to getting treatment done HOWEVER cosmetic injectables is still a medical procedure and with pros there will always be potential cons aswell. So please make sure when you book in with your local injector that they explain everything. You have every right to know about the treatment and also the potential risks. This is how you’re able to make an informed decision. Do not feel afraid to ask questions. It’s our duty to be as transparent as possible. 💕
